Biography
He earned bachelor, master and Ph.D. of chemical engineering and environmental engineering, respectively from South China University of Technology, Southeast University, Nanjing University. From 2003 to now, he worked at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 2010, as academic visitor, he studied at Oxford University in UK for one year.
In recent years, he introduced sustainability life cycle assessment to conventional process analysis, and coupled the comprehensive analysis of material flow, energy/exergy flow, economic flow, environmental flow into process analysis. Some case studies have been done, such as quayside crane, conventional biogas production system, industrial PV system, electroplating wastewater reuse, aluminium dross reuse and so on.
He also contributed himself to develop new green technologies. For example, he proposed and developed an advanced micro-bio-loop, which can produce a continuous stream of biogas without any additional external input and internal output to its surroundings. He conducted the preparation on coke-like biochar for sharply mitigation of carbon dioxide in blast furnace. Also, he developed and industrialized new two technologies of ozone micro-nano-bubbles disinfection and secondary aluminium dross reuse.
